> First open the Google Maps app on your phone. Tap on your profile icon in the right corner there.
> Now tap on offline map.
> Tap on ‘Select Your Own Map’ option. Go into the options and select the area you want to download the map.

One thing to keep in mind in this case is that the map that you downloaded offline on the phone, can show you some new routes in your area.
This offline map but expires after a while. So you need to update the quickly downloaded map.
Offline maps expire within 15 days. And when it expires, Google Maps automatically updates that area, if your device has a WiFi connection.
