State-owned Teletalk’s Internet data will not be limited to the term. This means that as long as there is a data balance, the customer will be able to use his purchased data. Teletalk will implement this arrangement from March 18, the birthday of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar made the announcement at a function at the BTRC auditorium in Dhaka on Tuesday (March 15th) to discuss the implementation of new guidelines on data and data-related packages for mobile operators.
The Minister said, “This is the first time that Bangladesh has come out of the limitation of having any validity of mobile data.” The minister is hopeful that other operators after Teletalk will introduce the system in phases.
BTRC Vice-Chairman Subrata Roy Maitra, Managing Director of Teletalk. Sahab Uddin, Secretary-General of MTB, Brigadier General SM Farhad (Retd.) And representatives of Grameenphone, Robi, and Banglalink commented on the ease of mobile phone data package management.
